At the moment, Christian Berens is researching the relationship between language, fiction and science. He does this by looking at the influence of language and tries to identify the “understandable” layer of the ‘transition zone’. He is interested in the complexity of the transformation process and the way in which this complexity is being made understandable by means of language. He furthermore sees she protocol as the “script” of the transformation process, and investigates to what extend transformation comes about through language.
