Invitation ‘TRANSITION ZONE’, opening 3 September at 12.00

On Sunday September 3 at 12.00 the artists from ‘TRANSITION ZONE’ will once open the gates of the ENCI-quarry. A large joint public event take place in and around the ENCI-quarry, in the contact of EAA-conference in Maastricht. An accumulation of public moment will be present in and around the ENCI-quarry in situ: a diversity of presentations, open air installations, performances, film screenings and tours are taking place spread over the area.
You are kindly invited for the opening at 12.00, by deputy Hans Teunissen and Peter Mergelsberg, director SOME, at the entrance of the AINSI.
We then start a number of tours, under professional guidance of guide of the ENCI-quarry. At set times (1pm, 3pm and 5pm) a group can enter the quarry for a maximum of two hours, to experience the activities in and around the ‘transition zone’.
At the same time AVROTROS will be present to make film recordings for the TV show Kunstuur.

As a conclusion, Miriam Sentler is screening her film in the tennis courts of the ENCI at 8pm.

We, the participants of ‘TRANSITION ZONE’ and her partners via SOME, hope to welcome you on September 3rd.

Opening: 12.00 by the deputy of the province of Limburg Hans Teunissen, AINSI, Lage Kanaaldijk 112-113, Maastricht
Entrance main location: Chalet d’n Observant, Lage Kanaaldijk 115, Maastricht
Time: Sunday 3rd of September 12 – 6pm
Closing day: we conclude the day with a special film screening from Miriam Sentler at the tennis courts ENCI (EPV), 8 – 10pm, Schutterijweg 1, Maastricht.

Especially for this event, and connecting to the EAA-Maastricht, participant Eline Kersten will open her exhibition ‘Solastalgia’ on September 1st in the AINSI at 7pm. (on view 1-3 September).

The works that are presented inside the quarry can only be viewed under supervision of a professional guide. The other works in Chalet d’n Observant and the AINSI can be visited from between 12pm and 6pm without reservations.
